Final: Part 1

1.       What I liked about the class was that we worked a lot with Microsoft Word, it helped me improve my skills with it for later on assignments.

2.       I had no issues with this class there was nothing I did not like.

3.       I have no recommendations I loved how you taught and managed your class.

4.       Yes I believe I did my best to comply with everything assigned in this class.

5.       No I have not been reading my Life planning  100+ goals because of all these finals and projects lately but now that school is over I will do my best to read them everyday.

6.       Yes I am committed to become a CTR person, I know it is a guidance to a bright future. I want to be successful and I follow with it I know I will be there.

7.       What I will always remember about this class is the student success statements there are a lot that have stuck on me and will use as a part of my daily life. 

Student Success Statement

        “ The ultimate Choice of all the choices you will ever make, one choice supersedes all others-the ultimate choice. This one choice will help you to always make correct decisions. This one choice, The Ultimate Choice, is your keystone to being the best student and person you can possibly be. This one choice will forever affect you for good more than any other choice. THE ULTIMATE CHOICE is:

To be a CTR Person – to Always CHOOSE THE RIGHT!!!” 

                Through this statement in my understandings is that if you choose to be a CTR person you will always have a path or righteousness. This choice is ne of the most important because it will not fail you once in your life. You can use this as a guidance to get through any obstacle that you will face in the best way possible. That is why choosing to be a CTR person is the most important choice you will ever choose.

Student Success Statement

“A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder.”

o   Thomas Carlyle

                In this quote by Thomas Carlyle, one can say that if one has no goals they have no plans to direct them anywhere. Just like a ship needs a rudder to guide them to a destination the goal does the same to an individual’s life. A goal is what makes an individual life for. No goals in life makes one a nobody. For example a goal of mine is to be successful and be able to manage to take care of a family of my own some day and this goal is what pushes me every day to do what I need to be able to do that. In other words this goal is my rudder it is guiding me through this marine to get to my destination.

Student Success Statement

“If there is beauty in character,

there will be harmony in the home.

If there is harmony in the home,

 there will be peace in the world.

Conclusion:

If there is beauty in character,

In the Chines Proverb one can say that world peace is met through the beauty of character. Beauty in character is the beginning of a chain of events that brings peace to the world.

1. Trustworthiness –

o   Be honest, don’t deceive, cheat, or steal

o   Be reliable and loyal

o   Have the courage to do the right thing

Ex: Not cheating on a test.

2. Respect –

o   Treat others with respect

o   Be tolerant and accepting of differences

o   Use good manners, not bad language

o   Consider the feelings of others

o   Don’t threaten, hit or hurt anyone

o   Deal peacefully with anger, insults, and disagreements

Ex: Considering what you say to people to not hurt their feelings

3. Responsibility –

o   Do what you are supposed to do

o   Plan ahead

o   Preserve

o   Always do your best

o   Use self-control

o   Be self-disciplined

o   Think before you act

Ex: If you told someone you were going to do something one specific day you do it.  

4. Fairness –

o   Play by the rules

o   Take turns and share

o   Be open-minded; listen to others

o   Don’t take advantage of others

o   Treat all people fairly

Ex: If you are playing a game you play by the rules.

5. Caring –

o   Be kind

o   Be compassionate and show you care

Ex: Forgive an individual for name calling you.

        Ex: Volunteer in community activities such as cleaning the community

Reflection:

            What I believe about these pillars of characters is that it’s a stepping stone that leads you to greatness. All these characteristics are characteristics of a leader. With these you can accomplish anything. I will try my hardest to follow through these six pillars of characteristics in order to become a great individual as well a successful one too.  

Student Success Statement

In this quote by Dennis Prager, one can say that throughout all your life what is most important to carry is the trait of good values. If you have good values it was like if you had a rubric on becoming successful. Good values basically contain the traits a successful person would. For example someone with good values would not consider going out before a huge exam the next day. That is why one should remain always having good values. People are dealing with a constant battle with their feeling, which is when good values step in. One example is people who steal. One who steals, steals because one feels they need to steal but if they were given the time to think about their values and it is wrong they might consider it. That is why good values are the most important thing anyone can have. 

 

Optician

Duties and Responsibilities:

                Opticians work on the front lines of vision care. They are one of the most important members of the eye care team because of the amount of direct interaction with customers. Optician measures clients' bridge and eye size, temple length, vertex distance, pupillary distance, and optical centers of eyes, using measuring devices.

Salary:

                $33,770 per year.

Education:

                High school diploma with on-the-job training or apprenticeship; or certificate, associate's degree or bachelor's degree in opticianry.

                     

Reflection:

                I would not like to be an optician, the job nor pay simply finds my interest.
