In this quote by Abraham Lincoln, one can say that you may not be bound to win but you must always stay bound to be true. He would stand up with anyone who stands up for what is right but will not stand up for what is wrong.  So even if the times seem tough and you do not seem like you are going to take the victory you must always stick to what is right and fight on.  

April Fool’s Day

April Fool’s is celebrated on every first of April .On April Fool’s Day the tradition is to set pranks and jokes on others. One theory for the celebration of April Fool’s was that some refused to follow these calendars that recognized April 1st as the first day of the year, which resulted in being called an April Fool. Another theory is during the reign of Constantine, when a group of court jesters and fools told the Roman emperor that they could do a better job of running the empire. Constantine allowed a jester named Kugel to be king for one day. Kugel passed a law calling for absurdity on that day, and the custom became a yearly event. The pros of April Fool’s are that it is a way where you can have fun and prank on others. The con too it is those who are being pranked may not like it. Also some pranks may be too extreme and just cause trouble.

               In this quote by Ralph Waldo Emerson, one can say that the only thing higher than intellect is character. Someone with low intellect but with such a great character can still be an intellect. With great character they would work until they've became intellect. Rather than someone with no character and high intellect is just someone no one would prefer to be around. That is why character is much higher than intellect. 

Health Sciences Librarian

Duties and Responsibilities:

               A health science librarian offers access to medical information through books, pamphlets, journals, tapes, multimedia presentations, and the Internet. Health science librarians help health providers, patients, and students sort through the massive amount of information available.

Salary:

               $58,000 per year.

Education:

Students must graduate from high. A four-year bachelor's degree is also required, with courses such as science and computer science. A master's degree in library science is mandatory

Reflection:

               I would not like to be a health sciences librarian the career simply does not interest me.

               In this quote by Tyler Haws, one can say that if you work hard for anything, it will pay off. For example Tyler Haws, he was once cut from a basketball team in third grade. His father told him if he works harder than everyone he will be a great basketball player. So he did, he worked every day during summer and put in the hours with his dad. Leading to win many achievements and going to Brigham Young University. Where there he has achieved to break through and become the leading scorer in Brigham Young history. His hard work did pay off. Throughout his story I learned there is not anything I cannot achieve, all it is to work hard. 

World’s Richest Man 

             

         Bill Gates is the richest man in the planet, where out of the last 21 years he has claimed the title 16 times. His net worth as of March 23, 2015 is $79.1 billion. He is the CEO and co-founder of the mega company Microsoft. It is the world’s largest PC software company. Gates is an intelligent man who is such a great entrepreneur.  Early on, the performance of Microsoft which was founded in 1975 boosted his net worth but he's been selling his shares in the software company for at least 15 years. He dropped one third of his remaining stake over the 12 months through February 2015. That included a gift of shares worth $1.5 billion to The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in November 2014, which brought his lifetime giving up to $29.5 billion.

               In this quote by Brigham Young, one can say that when you do what is right you are given your independence and freedom. For example are criminals. If they were to do what is right they would have never been in jail serving for the wrong they did. If they did what was right they would be free to do whatever they would like to do. Another example would be students; pretend a student is on their phone in class when they were not supposed to and the teacher takes it away they were just taken their right to use their phone because they didn’t do what was right.

Reflection: I would not like to work in another country because I am leaving my home. I wouldn’t get to see my family as much as I would in my country. I would not like to be so far away from my family. 

Michael Jordan

               

             Michael Jeffrey Jordan, born on February 17, 1963 is an American former professional basketball player, entrepreneur, and principle owner and chairman of the Charlotte Hornets. Jordan played 15 seasons of professional basketball in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards. Jordan is a legend in USA basketball. He is easily arguably the best player of all time. He was able to do it all. He was able to score with such athleticism and had such a great defense as well. He was drafted to the Bulls in 1984 winning his first championship in 1991, winning the next two years in a role as well. He soon suffered family problems and retired in the beginning of 1993-94 season to become a baseball player his father had wanted him to be. He rejoined the bulls in 1995 later becoming a champion again in 1996, 1997, and 1998. He retired for his second time in 1999 after his last championship and later returned as a Washington Wizard from 2001 to 2003. Jordan was accredited for many individual awards as well. He won five Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards, 10 All-NBA First team designation, nine All-Defensive First Team honors, fourteen NBA All-Star appearances, three All-Star Game MVP Awards, ten scoring, three steals titles, six NBA Final MVP Awards, and the 1988 NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award.

St. Patrick’s Day

               

     Every year on March 17 people celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. St. Patrick’s Day began as a religious feast for the patron Saint of Ireland has become an international festival celebrating Irish culture with dancing, parades, food and a lot of green. St. Patrick was a British man who was taken prisoner by the Irish after serving several years as a prisoner he had received a message from god to escape from Ireland. After escaping to Britain he experienced a second revelation, an angel in a dream tells him to return to Ireland as a missionary. Soon after, Patrick began religious training, a course of study that lasted more than 15 years. St. Patrick’s Day was made an official Christian festival in the early 17^th century.  The day is to commemorate Saint Patrick’s arrival of Christianity in Ireland and celebrate the heritage and culture of Ireland. It is celebrated on March 17 because it was the day that Saint Patrick was believed to have passed away.  

Touchdown Olivet

              

               In the story, there is a middle school football team, the Olivet Eagles in which they came up with a plan to let their friend score a touchdown. Their friend Keith is mentally disabled they decided to make his year by letting him score a touchdown. They came up with the plan without noticing the coach. The plan was to get as close to the goal line without scoring a touchdown then letting their friend Keith run in with the ball. They attempted it and instead of scoring the touchdown they took a knee, after pushed Keith in to score his touchdown.   The lesson of this story is it is not always just about you. You can do things for others as well.

       In this quote by George Chapman, one can say that you are only great if it is truly done by you. For example if you are a really tremendous football player but you got there by using performance enhancing drugs yea your great, but you are not truly great. You did not do it on your own. Another example are singers there are those singers that alter their voice once they sing and make a track, but then there are those who don’t need that. You are truly great when it is one hundred percent done byu you.

                              In this quote by George Mitchell, one can say that a short term gain is not worth the long term pain of actually getting the gain. There is no better way to gain something knowing you did it on your own. With the short term pain there actually comes a long term of pain because performance enhancing drugs comes with its side effects or if you were to be caught you would live a long time of misery and shame. He says how steroids are nothing but cheating. In sports cheating is the worst thing to do especially to those who don’t because there is no chance being given to them. He means to never do steroids they are for cheaters and cheating is the wrong thing to do.

               In this quote by Dale Murphy, one can say that cheating should not be done. It is Dishonorable and the wrong thing to do. Also what good is it to win or get something if you got it wrongly? When caught cheating you as well receive a punishment that could have been missed by doing it rightly. For example there was a little league team who won the country championship game. From there they went to play for the world little league series to lose their final game. Turns out they cheated by having players who were not from the area and were token from all of their awards and wins. Another is when you cheat on attest and you get caught you instantly fail that test. That is why Dale Murphy says not to cheat.

               Oncology specialists are physicians trained in a variety of cancer diagnostic and treatment procedures, such as chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

Salary:

               $217,856 yearly.

Education:

               To become an oncologist you must fulfill state licensure requirements such as complete residency training programs and subspecialty training programs and earn a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree.

Reflection:

In my opinion I would not like to study for an oncologist, the job just simply not find my interest. I would not like to do this for the rest of my life.

  In this quote by Dale Murphy, one can say that what matters most about a person is their character. Someone could be the richest person alive but with a horrible character really no one would want to surround themselves around that person simply because they have a horrible character. Another example is if someone was really extremely good looking but just has a horrible character no one would like to date them because of their horrible character. So having a great character matters the most.

Education:

               Requires a degree in medicine from an accredited school and is licensed to practice. May also require at least 2-4 years of vascular surgery experience. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

Reflection:

I would consider this career because I like its pay and when im older I would like to make big bucks. 

Mitch McKee

              

  In this story Mitch Mckee, a freshman had found out his father was diagnosed with an uncurable cancer, so he decided to make his father forget he was sick for one moment. He decided to Win wrestling championship for his father. Although he was a freshman he worked hard he went to the gym everyday to lift early in the morning. He was good he kept winning and eventually went to the finals. At final match he wrestled and won. He worked so hard for his father. All the hard work was fed off to make his father proud, that championship was more for his father then himself. He has a huge heart to do that for his father.

In this quote by Benjamin Franklin, one can say that beauty, strength and riches does not make you a great person, what really determines you in being something great is a right heart. For example there can be a great looking man who has lots of strength and money but it does no good for him if he has a horrible heart. No one would want to surround themselves with a cold hearted person. There is those people who have none of these traits but a great heart and people follow them because they love their heart.

               Health educators teach people about behaviors that promote wellness. They develop and implement strategies to improve the health of individuals and communities.

Education:

               Health educators need a bachelor’s degree. Many employers require the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential.

Reflection:

               Personally I would not like to be a Health Educator because I do not prefer to have its pay, plus the job is simply does not catch my interests.
