In any moment of decision, the thing you can do is the right thing.”

o   Theodore Roosevelt

In this quote by Theodore Roosevelt, one can say whenever you are stuck in between a tough decision all you simply need to do is think and choose which ever is doing the right thing. This will help determine smart decision making in any tough situation. For example if one were to have homework due the next day and some buddies were to invite you to go out with them. For most people this situation is a tough one go out and have fun or stay in and do homework. Well if one were to stop and think which decision is doing the right thing. Easily to stay in is the right thing to do. It may seem like it is not benefiting you but in the long run it is.
“Life planning Progress Post”

I have achieved 19 goals out of 137. My life planning book mainly contains long term goals for the reason why I have not accomplished so many. I have goals for example to get in great shape or graduate college. But I have accomplished as much as local goals as I possibly could. I am no where near to finishing this list. I need 118 goals to go but I know more will come on the list. I need to add more short term goals for the reason why I have not accomplished as much but I will dedicate myself to label as much victories on that right hand side of my goals. By the end of this school year I expect myself to have accomplished at least 40 Life Planning Goals.

Character Matters

In a softball game, a final, two teams were facing each other which were Western Oregon and Central Washington. During the game a player from Western Oregon Sara, manages to hit a home-run. This home-run was her first ever home-run. Once she hits first base she hurts her ACL causing her to turn back to stay at first base. Her teammates were not able to touch her or help her in order to receive her home-run. A girl from the opposite team asks the umpire if it was fine if they were to pick her up and carry her throughout the bases. So they picked up Sara and took her to every base letting her score her home-run. They did what was right by making Sara’s first home-run count knowing it was going to affect the score in their opponent’s favor.

“Goodness is the only investment that never fails.”

o   Henry David Thoreau

In this quote by Henry David Thoreau, one can say that many investments can fail you there is ultimately one investment that will never fail you and that is the investment of goodness. For example in business once one invests in a business they enter high risks. If the company one were to invest are having stability problems that investment can go bad. The company can get shut down and you lost your investment. That is why investments can fail but when you invest in goodness there is no way on earth where it can come back and bite your tail.

“My basic principle is that you don’t make decisions because they are easy; you don’t make them because they are cheap; you don’t make them because they’re popular you make them because they’re right.”

o   Theodore Hesburgh

In this quote by Theodore Hesburgh, one can say that what matters most about making a decision is that you are choosing it because it is the right decision. He explains how they’re might be the easy decision such as because it is easy, cheap, or popular but they are not always going to be the right thing to do. For example if one were to see a man drops his wallet and not notice. One can easily keep it and make some easy money. One should not take the easy way out and do what is right and return it. That is the right way to make a decision.

“It is our duty to concentrate all our influence to make popular that which is sound and good, and unpopular that which is unsound” (not good)

o  Joseph Smith

In this quote by Joseph Smith, one can say that it should be our responsibility to focus all of our influence to make being good a common thing, and to focus on making bad things very uncommon. For example if one were to focus to make good things popular, maybe at first it may be difficult depending on the person one is but at the end it will turn out to be an everyday thing. It would be a walk in the pak with practice. But if no one is to try to influence themselves to do good they would just get worse and worse at it.
